Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Secretary General Allama Nur Hossain Kasemi has passed away.
He breathed his last at capital Dhaka's United Hospital while undergoing treatment.
The party's central publicity secretary Zakaria Noman Faizi confirmed the matter.
Earlier on December 1, he was admitted to the hospital with cold and breathing problem.
On November 15, Hefazat-e-Islam made Junaid Babunagari and Nur Hossain Kasemi its Ameer and general secretary respectively.
