Khaleda Zia returns to ‘Feroza’

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia returned to her residence ‘Feroza’ in Gulshan after a long 53-day treatment at the capital's Evercare Hospital.

The former prime minister returned home from hospital on Saturday night (June 19). A large number of law enforcers had been deployed in front of the hospital since that evening. Khaleda Zia returned home in a white private car from the hospital around 8.15 pm on Saturday.

On April 14, the BNP chairperson was infected with coronavirus at her home in Firoza. Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara on April 27 after suffering from various complications. She underwent treatment under the supervision of a 10-member medical board headed by cardiologist Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder. He was released on May 9.

She had to stay in CCU for a month after experiencing shortness of breath 6 days after her hospitalization (May 3). Later, when her condition improved, she was brought back to the cabin on June 3.
