Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the names of the members of the Election Commission will go to the President through the search committee. The President will form an election commission with them.
The Prime Minister said this at a press conference after attending the 76th session of the UN General Assembly at Ganobhaban on Monday (October 4) afternoon.
Sheikh Hasina said the Awami League wants to stay in power through vote of the people.
She said the organizational activities of the Awami League will continue to stay close to the people. As a party, the Awami League is always building the country and preparing for the elections, both at the same time.
Referring to the conspiracies of various political parties and the evil forces of 1971, the Prime Minister said, she is following this path knowing all these. As long as there is breath, you will continue to work for the country.
She further said that it is up to them to decide who can be the opponent or not. The Awami League sees the election as an election. Awami League does not think about which party will contest in the election. Ideologically strong political opponents expect any political party.
