A mild tremor jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country early Friday.
The quake was felt around 12:00am on Friday (October 8). Quakes were also reported in Chittagong and Sylhet.
Met office sources said the earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre of the earthquake was Myanmar, 477 km of Dhaka’s earthquake observatory.
However, there was no immediate report of damage or casualty.
