Coronavirus infections are on the rise again in the country. If the infection gets out of control, educational institutions will be closed as before, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said.
The Education Minister was responding to a question from reporters at the inaugural function of the Cinemaking International Film Festival dedicated to the valiant freedom fighters at the International Mother Language Institute on Monday (January 3) evening.
"We are monitoring the situation all the time," she said. If we think that we need to reduce the number of classes to ensure the health of teachers and students, we will reduce it. I will stop if I need to.
The minister said the rate of corona infection is increasing in neighboring India. This rate is less in our country. However, in the meantime, a new type of corona Omicron has been identified in the body of some people. So we have to be very careful and follow the hygiene rules.
Dr. Dipu Moni said that in the last few years, the number of infections in the country has increased in March. So it is not clear where the situation will go until March. If we follow the hygiene rules, we will be able to keep the infection low.
