World leaders praise Sheikh Hasina's leadership

The heads of state and government of different countries of the world have praised the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the coronation ceremony of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on Saturday (May 6). Saida Muna Tasnim, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to United Kingdom, said in a press briefing that all the heads of state and government who have spoken to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have shown due respect to her.

In this context, she mentioned the body language of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to respect the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. The High Commissioner said, "She has received tremendous respect from everyone."

At the coronation ceremony, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh interacted with the Presidents of Egypt and Rwanda, Prime Ministers of Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Gambia, Namibia and Uganda.

She said, the leaders praised the continued leadership of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the remarkable economic growth of Bangladesh under his leadership. All mentioned the economic growth of Bangladesh.

They (global leaders) wanted to know how Bangladesh has maintained high economic growth.

In this context, she said, she appreciated the leadership of the Prime Minister of Sierra Leone and his wife. Quoting the Prime Minister of Sierra Leone and his wife, she said, "We are following you (Bangladesh Prime Minister).

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in London on May 4. Prior to this, she visited the World Bank's 50-year partnership with Bangladesh in Washington DC, USA, and made a bilateral visit to Japan.

Before the reception, she attended the bi-annual summit meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government.

The summit was held at Marlborough House, Commonwealth Secretariat, London.

Commonwealth Heads of Government exchanged views with King Charles III.

A discussion of Commonwealth leaders was held in the main conference room chaired by Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022, 74-year-old Charles III became King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

According to royal tradition, the coronation of a British monarch takes place after national mourning and several months of preparation.

The coronation ceremony of King Charles III was attended by heads of state from Ireland, France, Spain, Belgium, Japan, Hungary and Australia.
