Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said that dengue has spread in all the districts of the country. Aedes mosquito eradication program should not only be conducted in Dhaka, but it should be strengthened throughout the country. He said these things in a press conference organized in the meeting room of the Ministry of Health on Monday (August 7) afternoon.
The health minister said that dengue cannot be controlled by anyone alone. So we all have to work to control dengue. We are providing medical services along with awareness. Besides, we are informing people about dengue, where it comes from, how to prevent it. The City Corporation and the Ministry of Local Government are also working in this regard.
He said, since we are getting dengue patients in every district. That means there are Aedes mosquitoes in every district. So now the mosquito eradication program should be done all over Bangladesh. The health minister also felt that it is necessary to continue the mosquito control program not only in this season but throughout the year.
