Bhatara General Hospital closed for taking extra fees for dengue test

The Directorate of Health has shut the capital's private Bhatara General Hospital for charging extra fees for dengue tests. During the investigation of this incident, it is known that the license of the hospital was not renewed.

On Monday (September 18) afternoon, the Deputy Director of Clinics and Hospitals of the Directorate of Health Dr. Belal Hossain confirmed this.

He said, we have announced the closure of Bhatara General Hospital in the capital some time ago based on several complaints. Our raid still continues.

Referring to the incident of various irregularities against various private hospitals and clinics in the dengue situation, he said, we will take action against those who are involved in these irregularities. This raid will be conducted simultaneously across the country. Necessary instructions in this regard have been delivered to the marginal stage.

Earlier on Sunday (September 17) in an urgent virtual press conference the Additional Director General of the Directorate of Health, Professor Dr. Ahmedul Kabir announced about sudden raids against the hospitals for irregularities.
