The doctor of the medical board formed for the treatment ailing Khaleda Zia  Professor FM Siddiqui, has commented that BNP chairperson  may die at any time. Khaleda Zia is now under treatment at the capital's Evercare hospital.

He said, "Khaleda Zia is not receiving basic treatment. She needs a liver transplant. The treatment we provide is immediate. She needs to be taken abroad for urgent treatment. Otherwise she may die at any time. Due to internal bleeding in her body, 4 bags of blood have been given so far. She is being kept under close observation for 24 hours. We have nothing left, we have done everything we had to do. Better treatment is the only hope. Khaleda Zia's stomach and heart would not have been bleeding if she had been treated with the TIPS method two years ago. Her condition would not have been so critical.

The medical board formed for the treatment of Khaleda Zia gave this information in a press conference on Monday (October 9).

The doctor  said, 'tips and liver transplants are not done in Bangladesh. In 2006 and 2008 Birdem started experimental liver transplants but it could not be continued. In Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University was started on an experimental basis a few days ago, but it was closed again.

Dr. Siddiqui also said, "All our options have been exhausted." We kept her under close observation for 24 hours. Time is not over yet. Her condition may improve if she is treated in a multidisciplinary center abroad. For that it is important to apply tips. If this is done, there will not be a single drop of water in the stomach.

Dr. Mohsin said, 'The setup for liver transplantation is not yet in Bangladesh. It is not possible to do this without taking a critically condition patient like Khaleda Zia abroad.'

Dr. Nooruddin Ahmed said, water accumulation and infection in the stomach is a very serious problem. The risk of death is high. This time we can't take her home. We have no other treatment available. In such a situation, her risk of death is very high.
