Foreign observers passing busy time in BD election

Foreign nationals who are now in Bangladesh to observe the 12th national election are also passing a busy day. Groups of observers are seen to visit different polling centers since to vote casting began at 8 am Sunday.

Observers from China, Mauritius, and Uzbekistan visited Viqarunnisa Noon School and College centre in the capital at 8:15 am. The Commonwealth observers visited the Tejgaon College center around 8:30 am.

The Election Commission (EC) has approved 200 election observers and journalists for the 12th parliamentary elections. Of them, 127 are observers and 73 are from different media outlets.

Besides, the EC has approved 23,000 local election observers. Of them, 517 from 40 central observer organisations and 20,256 from 84 local observer organisations. All the observers will monitor the polls during the voting time across the country.
