UK parliamentarian Martin Day said that the polling environment is good in the 12th Parliamentary Election in Bangladesh, but the voter turnout is still not enough.

Martin was responding to the reporters after visiting several polling centers in Dhaka on Sunday (January 7th) noon.

"Voter turnout is still not enough. Hopefully this number will increase. I'm not commenting right now. I'm observing," said Martin.

Foreign nationals who are now in Bangladesh to observe the 12th national election were seen visiting different polling centers.

The observer team from China, Mauritius, and Uzbekistan visited Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Center in the capital at 8:15 am.

The strong team of Commonwealth observers were visiting the Tejgaon College center around 8:30 am.

The Election Commission (EC) has approved 200 election observers and journalists for the 12th parliamentary elections. Of them, 127 are observers and 73 are from different media outlets.
