Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser on Youth and Sports Affairs of the interim government, said that we will investigate whether the flood problem in Bangladesh is a conspiracy. But the flood has made us more united.
He said, all systems will be reformed. In fact, the fascist government has ruined Bangladesh in the last 16 years. We have taken responsibility for such a state. All organs of the state have been destroyed, rendered ineffective. We want a Bangladesh of national unity.
He said these things at a discussion meeting regarding the flood situation at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Noakhali on Friday (August 23) at 8 pm.
Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said, there is no use in blaming the individual. We are saying that the system will be reformed. If he doesn't see his superiors working, he won't either, that's for sure. So the system needs to be fixed from top to bottom. After the current transitional situation, we will start the system reformation.
He said the students fought for system reformation. Not just for the change of power.
The Adviser said, Noakhali is a coastal region. People here are not very familiar with floods. However, they are aware of the natural disasters of the coast. So everyone had to get some momentum in the rescue work. We will all work together. People from other districts have come to Noakhali to extend their helping hand. You will help them.
Earlier, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan visited the technical school shelter in Begumganj. Talked to the residents and inquired about them. He then assured about rehabilitation and government assistance to the shelter residents.
Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman presided over the meeting, Army 16 Infantry CEO Lt. Col. Ashraful Uddin, Police Superintendent Mohammad Asaduzzaman, heads of various offices of the district, media workers, coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement and people from various professions were present.
