Dhaka: The Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has signed the International Convention on the Protection of Citizens from Enforced Disappearance.

He signed the Charter of the International Convention for the Protection of Citizens from Enforced Disappearance at the weekly meeting of Advisers on Thursday (August 29).

In this regard, the Chief Adviser said, our action on the eve of the International Day for the Prevention of Missing Persons will be a historic moment.

He also said that a Commission has been formed to investigate every incident of enforced disappearance through the security forces during Sheikh Hasina's 15-year dictatorial regime.

It is to be noted that the meeting of the Advisers of the Interim government is going on today at the State Guest House Jamuna. This meeting which started at 11 am  ended at 2:30 pm. After the meeting, Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan briefed the journalists in front of Jamuna.
