Dhaka: Students of Suhrawardy College and Kabi Nazrul Government College attacked Molla College in response to the attack on Suhrawardy College and Kabi Nazrul Government College. Vandalism has taken place. The college has been vandalized. Many injured in the incident.
The attack, vandalism and clash took place after 12:30 pm on Monday (November 25).
After the attack, vandalism and clash, students of Suhrawardy College and Kabi Nazrul Government College took a position on the Demra Flyover. Police were on one side below and students of Molla College took a position on the other. During this, bricks and stones were also thrown at the police. Several injured were also taken to the hospital.
To protest the attack on students of Dr. Mahabubur Rahman Molla College (DMRC), more than 30 colleges in and around Dhaka and its surrounding areas clashed with students of Kabi Nazrul and Suhrawardy Colleges. After the clash yesterday, students of Kabi Nazrul and Suhrawardy Colleges started gathering in front of Kabi Nazrul College from the morning of Monday (November 25).
It is learned that two groups of students of Kabi Nazrul and Suhrawardy Colleges have left for Molla College (DMRC).
During this time, students were also seen raising slogans like 'We will take off Molla's skin'.
Earlier, from 12 noon yesterday, Sunday (November 24), more than 30 colleges in Dhaka and its surrounding areas jointly clashed with students of Kabi Nazrul and Suhrawardy Colleges in protest against the attack on students of Dr. Mahabubur Rahman Molla College (DMRC).
It is learned that last Wednesday, students of Dr. Mahabubur Rahman Molla College (DMRC) held a protest program at Dhaka National Medical College Hospital over the death of HSC student Abhijit Howlader due to wrong treatment. At one point on Thursday, students led by the Chhatra Dal of Kabi Nazrul and Suhrawardy Colleges attacked the protesting students of DMRC College.
In protest against the attack, students from more than 30 colleges in Dhaka and its surrounding areas, including DMRC College, Notre Dame College, City College, Dhaka College, Noor Mohammad Public College, Narayanganj Government College, Khilgaon Government College, attacked and vandalized Suhrawardy and Kabi Nazrul Colleges. Later, one side clashed with the other.
It is reported that more than 40 students have been injured in this till yesterday.
A student of DMRC College said yesterday that this morning when DMRC and surrounding colleges came to protest in front of the National Medical, students of Kabi Nazrul and Suhrawardy Colleges attacked us again. Later, we tried to repel them.
