Dhaka,(Barta24.com): Mokabbir Khan elected as Member ot Parliament (MP) in the 11th Jatiyo Sangsad (JS) poll on Gonoforum (GF) ticket finally took oath on Tuesday (April 2). Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Choudhury administered the oath of Mokabbir Khan at her Sangsad office.
Earlier on last March 7 another member of Gonoforum (GF) Sultan Mohammad Mansur took oath. On that day Mokabbir was also supposed to take oath but obeying party decision he did not take oath.
After the oath taking function Mokabbir Khan when asked by the press men told that in the JS sessions my role will be hundred percent as a member of the opposition. I will speak about the people of that area who elected me. I am alone elected with the party symbol ‘rising sun’ from my party because Sultan Mohmmad Mansur was elected with sheaf of paddy symbol. I will try to speak about the people’s hope and aspiration of the whole country. I will try to record the people’s voice through me in JS sessions.
Regarding the allegations of Executive President of GF Advocate Subrata Chowdhury that I have stolen the letter head pad of the party for sending requesting letter to the speaker, he said that I came here to take oath taking the permission of the party. I took the permission of party presidium to join the JS.
Showing the letter, he asserted that there is no debate over the matter. They are either trying to fulfill the malafide intentions of some quarters or they are mentally devastated.
At that time GF executive member Major(Rtd.) Amin Ahmed Afsary showed the letter in party pad. Mokabbir Khan told that many unwanted politics are taking place in the country, so to make any body laughing stock in politics is nothing impossible
