Two day Ministerial level meeting on ‘Blue Economy’ or Ocean Economy will begin in Dhaka on Wednesday (Sept.4). More than 100 delegates consisting of ministers, deputy ministers and secretaries of 30 countries of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) are coming to Dhaka to participate in the Third conference.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will deliver her speech as the chief guest in the inaugural function of the two day conference to be held at Hotel Intercontinental.
According to the sources of foreign ministry the ministers of Australia, Iran, Sri Lanka, Sicily, Kenya, Mauritius, Madagascar, Camorras, Maldives, South Africa, Somalia and Thailand are likely to participate in the conference.
The members of IORA are Australia, Bangladesh, Camorras, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman, Sicily, Singapore, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
