Planning Minister MA Mannan has said establishing justice would be a challenge in the days ahead, observing a lot of wrongdoings have taken root in this country.
However, he said, these problems are not new, rather old.
'So we have to establish justice,' he said.
The Planning Minister addressing a national workshop on global Index at the BBS Auditorium in the capital's Agargaon on Wednesday (October 16).
The planning minister said 'A whole, we are in good shape now. But There is nothing to be happy about the development that is taking place in the country. We have to be careful. Because, once Argentina was also one of the ten emerging economies. At present, one in every three is poor. They have many problems including sanitation etc.'
The Planning Minister also said Bangladesh's position in terms various global indices is not reflected properly due to lack of accurate and updated data on many achievements of the country. We have not been able to look into this matter in the past. Now is the time to work for proper branding of the country. To locate Bangladesh's position in terms all global indices, including the SDGs, accurate and up-to-date data have to be collected.
