Former Health Minister Mohammad Nasim has tested positive of coronavirus infection. On Monday (June 1), his sample test report revealed as coronavirus positive. He is currently under treatment of medicine specialist Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital.
Director and CEO of Bangladesh Specialized Hospital Al Imran Chowdhury confirmed the information.
He said, ‘Mohammed Nasim was admitted on Monday afternoon with mild breathing difficulties. He has been tested Covid-19 positive. He was taken to the ICU a while ago. '
Mohammad Nasim's son Tanvir Shakil Joy asked the people to pray for his father. He said all the family members had taken the sample examined at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) four days ago. Everyone's report was negative. But his father was admitted to the hospital as he felt physically weak. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday and doctors collected samples for coronavirus testing.
Joy added that for now his father will be kept in Bangladesh Specialized Hospital. He will be shifted to Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) if his condition deteriorates.
At present Mohammad Nasim has no breathing problem but he has problems of urinating.
