An explosion took place at Pallabi police station of DMP's Mirpur division on Wednesday morning (July 29). Four policemen and another were injured in the blast.
The injured have been identified as Pallabi Police Station OC (Investigation) Inspector Imran (48), PSI Ankush (26), SI Sajib (30), PSI Rumir (28) and Riaz (26). The blast took place around 8 am.
DC Media Wahid Hossain confirmed the matter to Barta24.com.
Two of the injured policemen are undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and another at the National Ophthalmology Institute. The other two returned with first aid.
Pallabi Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police Feroz Kausar told Barta24.com that three accused were arrested and brought to the police station. Weapons and a weight machine were recovered from them at that time. That weight machine exploded after being brought to the police station. Four policemen and a civilian were wounded in the incident.
