BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's picture should not have been taken down from Bangabhaban.
He made these remarks while participating in a free medical camp and blood donation program on National Revolution and Solidarity Day, at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Tuesday (November 12) morning.
He said that Khandaker Mushtaq also took down his picture and Ziaur Rahman put it up again.
Rizvi also said that those who have contributed at the national level must admit it. If someone commits a crime, history and the people will decide.
At that time, criticizing the Awami League-ruled government, he said that despite being good doctors, there was division during the Awami League rule. Many were not promoted due to their association with BNP. They were deprived for political reasons. They served in the same position for 15 to 16 years.
Earlier, the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was removed from the wall of the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban. On Monday (November 11), Adviser Mahfuz Alam shared a picture on social media Facebook to give this information. In the caption of the picture, he wrote, "The picture of the post-'71 fascist leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been removed from the Durbar Hall."
