BNP and Islami Movement agree on 10 issues

BNP and Islami Movement Bangladesh have agreed on 10 issues, including preventing price hikes, freedom from hegemony and not taking any decisions against Islamic Sharia.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said this after a meeting of about one and a half hours at the central office of Islamic Movement Bangladesh in Paltan on Monday (January 26) afternoon.

The issues on which the two parties have agreed are-

1. Building national unity to build an independent, sovereign, sustainable state free from hegemony, expansionism and imperialism.

2. Bringing corrupt, terrorists, murderers and money launderers to justice quickly and providing exemplary punishment.

3. Building national consensus to protect all human rights, including voting rights.

4. Completing the minimum necessary reforms and arranging for fair and acceptable elections as soon as possible.

5. Prevent the rise in commodity prices and establish the rights of all deprived people and normalize law and order.

6. All forces against Awami fascism will work together to rebuild the country.

7. The forces against fascism will not speak against each other.

8. We will remain politically united so that no other fascist force like Awami League can come to power in the future.

9. We will not take any decision against Islamic Sharia and no one will say anything against Islam.

10. Quickly remove the Awami fascism allies still present in the administration.

BNP Vice Chair Barkatullah Bulu, Islami Andolan Bangladesh Amir Syed Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Secretary General Principal Yunus Ahmed, Presidium Member Syed Mosaddek Billah Madani, Joint Secretaries General Gazi Ataur Rahman, Imtiaz Alam, Assistant Secretary General Atiqur Rahman and other central leaders were also present at the meeting.
