Former senior civil servant and BNP leader Inam Ahmed Chowdhury was nominated as the member of the Advisory Council of Bangladesh Awami League.
This was informed through a press release signed by central office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap on Sunday (July 7).
The press release said that the party president Sheikh Hasina with the power vested to her in the 20th national council of Awami League held on October 22 & 23 in 2016 has nominated Inam Ahmed Chowdhury as the member of Advisory Council.
Before the 11th Jatiya Sangsad election on December 19, Inam Ahmed Chowdhury joined Awami League by handing over flower bouquet to Sheikh Hasina. Before that he was an adviser to the BNP chairperson and later on he was also vice-chairman of BNP.
