58 million dollars remittance came in 7 days

In the first 7 days of this month (September), expatriates sent remittances of 584.5 million US dollars to the country. Average daily remittances to the country are 83.5 million dollars.

This information is known from the updated report of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (September 8).

According to the report, in the first 7 days of this month of September, the expatriate income came to the country of 58 crore 45 lakh 40 thousand US dollars. Of this, 15 crore 27 lakh 90 thousand US dollars came through the state-owned banks. 1 crore 48 lakh 30 thousand dollars came through the specialized bank. And 41 crore 52 lakh 70 thousand dollars came in remittance through private banks. Also, 16 lakh 50 thousand dollars came through foreign sector banks.

Earlier, remittances came in at 253.86 million dollars in the last month of June. About 191 million dollars came in July, which was the lowest in 10 months.

However, after the formation of the Interim government, the situation started to normalize. Among these, the maximum remittance of 222 crore 13 lakh 20 thousand US dollars came in August.
