BRAC Bank, Babson College, FMO to Train Bangladeshi Women Entrepreneurs

BRAC Bank has announced that it is inviting Bangladeshi women entrepreneurs to come forward and take part in a first-of-its-kind Women Business Owners’ Training Programme in Bangladesh.

The bank will offer a four-day training to a selected group of women entrepreneurs in collaboration with Babson College, an entrepreneurial powerhouse often ranked as the most prestigious entrepreneurship college in the US, and FMO, a Dutch financial investment firm specializing in financing businesses and projects.

BRAC Bank will host the training programme at Anik Tower, its corporate head office.

Talking about the programme, BRAC Bank’s Head of Women Banking Segment, Mehruba Reza stated that “the objective of this training is to facilitate women entrepreneurs in developing and enriching their entrepreneurial skills in order to help them improve their business processes.”

The programme will be conducted by Mr. Richard T. Bliss, PhD, Babson College, Professor of Finance and National Academic Director – 10,000 Small Businesses; and Professor Patricia G. Greene, Academic Director, Babson College. The women entrepreneurs having two years of business experience with entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm and persistence are eligible for applying for the programme.

Upon successful completion of the programme, the participants will receive a formal recognition and achievement certificates that will be handed over by BRAC Bank Chairman Sir Fazle Hasan Abed KCMG. BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Selim R. F. Hussain and senior representatives from FMO and Babson College will be present at the ceremony in the evening of the last day of training.
