Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Moscow on a two-day visit. This is his first foreign visit after assuming power for the third term.

According to reports, Narendra Modi will attend a dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, the first day of the two-day visit. The two leaders will meet at the Russian President's office on Tuesday.

The 22nd bilateral summit between the two countries will be held in Modi's visit to Moscow this year, according to the report of the Russian media RT. This summit is being held between the two countries since 2000.

In a statement about his visit to Moscow, Modi said, 'I want to review all aspects of bilateral relations with my friend President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, I want to discuss various regional and international issues. We want to play a supportive role in establishing a peaceful and stable region.

Along with New Delhi, Moscow is also giving great importance to Modi's visit to Russia.

Modi last visited Russia in 2019. And Putin last visited New Delhi in 2021. The last meeting between them took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in September 2022.
