Redistribution of advisers' port-folios, who got which ministry
Dhaka: Three more new advisers have taken oath within three months of the interim government. With this, the number of advisers has reached 24.
Two of the three new advisers sworn in as advisers to the interim government have been allocated portfolios and seven of the current advisers have been reallocated. However, no ministry or department was mentioned about the newly sworn-in adviser Mahfuz Alam.
This information was revealed in a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday (November 10).
Among the new advisers, Sheikh Bashiruddin has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. Filmmaker Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus will be in charge of the Cabinet Division, Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces Division and Ministry of Public Administration. Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed will be the Finance adviser; Dr. Asif Nazrul will be the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs adviser and the Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment adviser; Hasan Arif will be the Land and the Civil Aviation and Tourism adviser; Ali Imam Majumder will be the Food adviser; Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan will be the Youth and Sports and the Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives adviser; and Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain will be the Shipping, the Labour and Employment adviser.
