Eligible people will get nomination based on the survey: Sheikh Hasina
Sheikh Hasina, president of the ruling party Bangladesh Awami League, said that party nominations will be given to those who are eligible based on the survey.
Several members of parliament confirmed that she said this at the Awami League parliamentary party meeting held at Sangsad Bhavan on Sunday (October 22).
Sheikh Hasina said, 'Nomination will be given on the basis of various data and survey reports. Everyone has to work for the one who will be nominated.
The 12th Jatiyo Sangsad(JS) election was discussed in detail in the meeting held for more than an hour in the meeting room of the government party at the JS building under the chairmanship of Sheikh Hasina, the head of the parliamentary party.
Sheikh Hasina said, 'Voting will be free and impartial. Everyone should win this vote. I cannot take the responsibility of winning anyone. I will not nominate anyone based on their appearance. I will give nominations to popular people. Not everyone here may get nominated. I have to work for the one I give a nomination. The boat cannot be opposed whether he or she receives nomination or not.
Motahar Hossain, Shamim Osman, Noor Uddin Chowdhury Nayan, Kazi Keramat Ali, Abu Reza Mohammad Nizamuddin Nadvi, Rubina Akhtar Meera, Aroma Dutta etc. spoke.
In the meeting, Awami League president also spoke about the ongoing movement of BNP. She also mentioned that no obstacle will be given if BNP conducts a systematic movement.
She said, "They want to protest. No problem. We won't stop. However, arson, vandalism will not be exempted. We are used to dealing with everything. I dealt with Hefazat. I will do it this time too.
