Finally, the Jatiya Party announced to go to the elections
The Jatiya Party made an official announcement to participate in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad(JS) elections. Secretary General of Jatiya Party Mujibul Haque Chunnu said to participate in the election based on the fair assurance of the concerned circles and organizations. However, he said that they will give party candidates in 300 seats, not by compromise or sharing seats with anyone.
On Wednesday (November 22) afternoon, he made the official announcement to go to the election at the Banani office of the Jatiya Party.
Secretary General of Jatiya Party said, we have always said that we want a fair environment, so that the voters can vote without any problems, we need an environment of trust. Election Commission and related organizations have given assurances about fair elections. That is why the Jatiya Party has decided to go to the polls. Jatiya Party's chairman announced the official announcement of going to the election, JP Secretary General said.
He said, "I said earlier that if the voters can vote freely, if a fair election environment is created, then we will take a decision on the election." We are not making an alliance or grand alliance with anyone, the Jatiya Party alone will field candidates in 300 seats. The Jatiya Party is already in the election process with the sale of party nomination forms.
Even after the announcement of the election schedule of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad, the Jatiya Party kept the decision on the election question in abeyance. After a few days, the sale of party nomination forms was announced on November 19. Even after that announcement, it was kept hanging for three days.
The party nomination papers of Jatiya Party are being sold in a festive atmosphere for the third day. Aspirants bought nomination papers in showdowns with worker supporters. Jatiya Party said that 1179 nomination papers were sold in the first two days.
The sale and acceptance of party nomination papers will continue till next Thursday (November 23).
