Khaleda Zia's life is under threat: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's life is in danger, she has many ailments which we have repeatedly highlighted to the nation. But the government did not care.
Mirza Fakhrul said these things to the journalists after seeing Khaleda Zia in the hospital on Monday (July 8) afternoon and came to the chairperson's office in Gulshan.
Earlier, after a week of returning home with a pacemaker implanted in the heart, she was again admitted to Evercare Hospital on Monday morning. She is undergoing treatment in the cabin under the close supervision of the medical board.
BNP Secretary General said, now it has become a national demand that the BNP leader should be released unconditionally. The injustice being done to her is extreme injustice. She is being deliberately held to death due to political vendetta.
Fakhrul said, today she came to the hospital, she has to come suddenly. You see, she had to come to the hospital a few days ago. Constantly very complicated diseases attack her. We have repeatedly said that she needs to be treated in a multi-disciplinary medical center abroad. But unfortunately they (government) are not releasing Begum Khaleda Zia because of political revenge.
