Law Minister Anisul Haque told reporters in his office at the Secretariat in the morning before issuing the notification that the workers of Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Chhatrashibir and their organizations who were born after 1971, will not be prosecuted.

When asked whether the government can punish someone from the party as a criminal without a court after the prohibition in the Anti-Terrorism Act, the minister said, "We have also made arrangements to amend the law that the International Criminal Tribunal Act is talking about." It is not that he cannot be punished even after being banned. However, the matter of banning will not come in the sentence.
