On Friday (August 2), the Awami League president's political office in the capital's Dhanmondi held a press conference to highlight the students' demands.

One of the 9-point demands of the protesting students - "The Road Transport and Bridges Minister and the Home Minister should resign from their respective ministries and parties for taking responsibility for the killing of the students."

In reply, Obaidul Quader said, "Look, I want to make one thing clear, I said today as well, the government has already formed a judicial probe commission. In it, three judges, countries including the United Nations who will show interest in this investigation, we have also welcomed them. They will also participate in the probe if they want."

He said, "Now who is a criminal and who is not a criminal, we are determined to investigate every murder. That also falls within the scope of the investigation commission. Therefore, this matter will remain there and will be decided there."

After returning from the DB office, the six coordinators of the quota reform movement announced to continue the movement again. Will the government negotiate with them in this regard? Obaidul Quader said in response to a question from journalists, "If the government takes any decision, you will be informed."
