Propaganda of minority persecution to dampen students’ sacrifice: Mirza Fakhrul
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that minority torture propaganda is being carried out to dampen the students' sacrifice.
He made this comment in a view exchange meeting with journalists at his residence in Kalibari of Thakurgaon on Wednesday (August 14) morning.
He said that local and foreign groups are working together to smear the sacrifice of the students and the minority in the name of torture. What happened on Monday (August 5), the day the government fell, was political. Not any kind of religious problem. What happened then cannot be said to be persecution of minorities.
Mirza Fakhrul said, a circle planned and the people of the fallen ruling group staged the drama of various incidents. A few days ago, 300 to-400 people gathered together in Baliadangi. I find it's a drama. If any of our party is involved in these, then the administration is supposed to take action.
District BNP vice-president, general secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, Panchagarh district BNP member secretary Farhad Hossain Azad and leaders of district BNP and other organizations were present.
