BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that history is cruel, Allah's judgment is cruel. Allah showed in front of our eyes that power is not eternal, power is temporary.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a sit- in program in front of BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Thursday (August 15).

Mirza Fakhrul said, the murderer Sheikh Hasina had been running a steam roller on our leaders and activists for 15 years, inhumanely torturing people of different religions. They filed false cases against 60 lakh people. Hundreds of activists have gone missing. In just two days before the 2024 elections, 28,000 activists were imprisoned. BNP leaders and workers gave so much life for the restoration of democracy, which is rare in history. Many mothers lost their sons, sisters lost their brothers.

He mentioned about Abu Sayed, a student of English Department in Rokeya University, who was killed in the student movement, and said that Abu Sayed was a son of a poor family. Tuition was used to cover the cost of education.

Pointing to Sheikh Hasina, he said, "History is very cruel, Allah's judgment is very cruel." Almighty Allah showed them in front of their eyes that power is not eternal but temporary. Quoting verses from the Qur'an, he said, "Allah says, 'I can make you poor.' Fakir can be made Amir. I can make the living dead, I can make the dead alive. Hasina denied the words of Allah. She had transgressed. Pride, what pride! What is Allah's order, she had to run away.

BNP Secretary General said, now a new game has started with minorities, but no one is a minority in this country. They are plotting again, wanting to come back with the help of India by doing something. All their conspiracies must be foiled.

Addressing the Awami League leaders and activists, Mirza Fakhrul said that he has seen ‘69, ‘71 and ‘24 year. See how the people of the country can burn. Surrender well. Those who are out there doing this get well. But you have to face justice.

Highlighting former law minister Anisul Haque and Adviser Salman F Rahman, he said that they should be tried in the International Human Rights Tribunal. They committed crimes, carried out genocide. Those who looted, tortured, killed, should be tried.

He said that the interim government is the product of our movement; this government should be united and cooperated as long as they are in favor of democracy. Of course the current government will hand over power to establish democracy through elections.

Mirza Fakhrul said that those who worked as allies of the dictatorial government despite being the People's Republic officials should be brought out, those identified as terrorists who worked for this government should be arrested and brought to justice.
