Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said these things during the public meeting organized by BNP at Haripur Upazila Eidgah ground in Thakurgaon on Wednesday (September 18) afternoon.

General Secretary of BNP said, people of Hindu community are our deposit. It is our responsibility to protect them. Narrating a verse of the Holy Quran, he said, Allah Ta'ala said, "He who betrays a trust is not a believer". We have to protect this deposit. Puja is coming up, everyone should be alert so that no mishap takes place in the center of the puja.

He said that the terrible monster fascist Hasina's government fell in the uprising of the students. Before its fall, Hasina's government killed about 2,000 people in the student movement. Some lost their hands, some lost their legs, some had their skulls blown off. Some of them were studying in college, some were studying in university. Hasina killed these people.

Stating that the Awami League government and Sheikh Hasina have done extensive torture and imprisonment, BNP Secretary General said, "We have suffered a lot in the last 15-16 years. You have been prosecuted here only for the crime of joining BNP, for the crime of organizing Jamaat, you have been kept in jail. That situation has ended. Sheikh Hasina, who had become the most influential leader, had to flee just like that. She had to leave through the crowd. Before leaving, lakhs of people were coming to occupy the Gonobhavan. At that very moment, she saved her life by going to the neighboring country India.

After reciting a verse of Surah Imran in Arabic and translating it into Bengali, Fakhrul said, "I make whomever I want to be a owner, a king, a president, a prime minister, and I make him a street beggar at any time." Asylum has fallen into that pitiful condition. And those who ruled us here with power, jailed us, oppressed us, seized land, took away business and trade, did not allow us to do politics - today they are in jail. That is why Allah says, "Do not transgress, Allah does not forgive the transgressor".

Regarding Obaidul Quader, Mirza Fakhrul said, where did Mr. Obaidul Quader go, the countrymen do not know where you have gone. I want to tell you, come to my house and come to my area.

Mirza Fakhrul ended the meeting by expressing his regret to the leaders and activists as he could not stand up and give a speech due to illness.

Haripur Upazila BNP President Vice Principal Jamal Uddin presided over the meeting and Thakurgaon District BNP General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, Abu Taher and others gave speeches.
