BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the army should be given the magisterial powers in the areas that have gone out of control. It would not be expedient or wise to create new problems by giving magistracy powers in areas that are peaceful and controlled by political leaders. This government needs to consider the matter fully.

He said this while meeting and helping the families of the martyrs and the injured in the movement to overthrow the fascist Sheikh Hasina, organized by the District BNP in Thakurgaon Press Club hall room on Thursday (September 19) morning.
