‘We could not build beautiful Bangladesh due to ‘71’s A. League's failure’
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the possibility of a new Bangladesh was created after independence in 1971, which was destroyed due to the failure of the Awami League.
He said these things at a greeting exchange program with the Hindu community on the occasion of Sharadia Durga Puja at the Ladies Club in the capital on Tuesday (October 29) afternoon.
The BNP Secretary General said that the possibility of a new Bangladesh was created after independence in 1971, which could not build a fair Bangladesh due to the failed leadership of the Awami League. After that, this party has destroyed the country in the last 15 years. We will work towards the goal of continuing the victory that is coming in the student-public movement.
BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said that the founder of our party Ziaur Rahman said that all those who live in the hills and plains of the country are Bangladeshis. In line with his statement, our leader Tarique Rahman said that there is no word to say minority, we are all Bangladeshis. He also said that everyone's religion belongs to their own country. In the changed environment that has been created in the country on August 5, let's all build the country together.
BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas said, I have a small question? In the area where I grew up, Shahjahanpur, one-fourth of Dhaka lives here. No Hindu in this area has any complaints about the BNP.
Mirza Abbas said, a few days ago, our party leaders guarded the temple during Durga Puja. What has happened recently that temples should be guarded? I am 75 years old and have never seen a temple guarded. No Muslim can destroy a temple. Those who are not Muslims destroy temples.
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, we do not believe in being a minority, we are all Bangladeshis. We want to make a rainbow nation with everyone. These are not slogans. The source of these words is nationalism.
Amir Khasru said, BNP nationalism comes from the basic consciousness. No one has the opportunity to question the philosophy and thoughts of BNP. The philosophy of Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman is as clear as day. We need to understand that many are becoming leaders by capitalizing on religion. They are creating discord among the nation and benefiting the party.
