BNP Chairperson's adviser Zainul Abdin Farooq has asked the interim government, "It's not our business. It's the business of the general public of the country. The students of this country have put you in power with their fresh blood. Why were these two controversial people made advisers?"

He said these things at a protest rally in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday (November 12) at the initiative of the Ganatantrik Parishad(GP) demanding the withdrawal of false cases against all leaders and activists, including the future state hero Tarique Rahman.

Farooq said, "We established August 5 with our fresh blood. We must demand from this revolutionary government why Tarique Rahman's case is not being withdrawn. I think the people of the country have already started saying that what is needed at this moment is the independent guard of Bangladesh nationalists, the country hero Tarique Rahman."

Addressing the interim government, he said, "You have to remember that in the last 16 years, Sheikh Hasina has destroyed democracy in the country, looted, laundered money, made Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the Father of the Nation, made fake freedom fighters and created discrimination by giving jobs. Even though Sheikh Hasina fled abroad, her two friends are still in this country. They are still holding positions in various departments. They must be removed. Otherwise, they are conspiring. They will start conspiring more extensively."

Addressing the interim government, this former Chief Whip also said, "The two advisers who were sworn in two days ago. The students of this country put you in power with the fresh blood of their chests. Why were these two controversial advisers made? Whose brother was an Awami League MP. Who is accused of murdering anti-discrimination students? Whose role in this anti-discrimination movement is no. The controversy that has been created by making them members of the advisory board. The anti-discrimination students have united with that controversy." By making these two advisery members, Abu Sayed and Mughdha have been insulted.

He said, it has been three months since the interim government came to power, why are there still about 40,000 cases against the leaders and activists of the country's hero Tarique Rahman and BNP? The Awami League and the police have filed cases against those who have been agitating to restore democracy. Why are these cases not being withdrawn?

Addressing the interim government, this former MP said, elections must be held. The election date must be announced. After announcing the election date then reform. We have supported you. We will be with you. If there is any conspiracy against you, the country's hero Tarique Rahman and the nationalist forces will be on the streets. So let's hold a fair election. The party that comes to power through that election will make the main reforms.

The meeting, chaired by the President of the GP, Kamal Hossain, General Secretary of the United States Swechchasebak Dal Abul Hossain, BNP's Deputy Jubo Bishak Sampadak Mir Newaz, and NDP Secretary General Md. Manjur Hossain Isa, Tati Party Senior Joint Convener Dr. Kazi Moniruzzaman, Ulama Party Senior Joint Convener Maulana Alamgir Hossain spoke.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's picture should not have been taken down from Bangabhaban.

He made these remarks while participating in a free medical camp and blood donation program on National Revolution and Solidarity Day, at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Tuesday (November 12) morning.

He said that Khandaker Mushtaq also took down his picture and Ziaur Rahman put it up again.

Rizvi also said that those who have contributed at the national level must admit it. If someone commits a crime, history and the people will decide.

Many were not promoted due to their association with BNP. They were deprived for political reasons. They served in the same position for 15 to 16 years.

BNP Standing Committee member Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram has said that the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement do not believe in building a democratic society.

He said this at a discussion titled 'The aspirations of the great November 7 and today's political context' at the Dhaka Reporters Unity on Monday (November 11) afternoon on the occasion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day. Expressing his regret over the coordinators' words, this senior BNP leader said, two days ago, a big student leader said that 2,000 people did not give their lives to vote. Is voting so simple? Voting is the symbol of democracy. We fought for voting in 1971. This fight was for democracy, for freedom of speech, for the fundamental rights of the people. The first step of which was a fair election. And they are saying that independence was not achieved for voting. So why is this war? What is our sacrifice for? The object of vote rigging? That is, they do not believe in building a democratic society.

He said, they (student leaders) think that the country will be fixed by holding two processions on the streets. Their gurus teach them, First Republic, Second Republic. There is only one Republic, which we created in 1971. Here, Second, Third Republic is all these nonsense nationalist talks. These are not needed now. The common people understand. In a very short time, conduct electoral reforms and hold elections.

Mentioning that reforms will be made, I do not see reforms anywhere, Major(retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said, of course, those who have killed, disappeared, looted, and rigged the vote must be brought under punishment.

At this time, he said, Sheikh Hasina does not run away, she has said so many big words but had to run away in one piece. What happened? Learn to respect the power of the people. How great was the power, they killed people by shooting from helicopters and still I don't see any remorse.

This member of the BNP standing committee said, referring to the Awami League, they (Awami League) want to come to power again. What will they do? Will they kill more people? Will they loot more money? The people of Bangladesh will never accept you. If you have the courage, come and say with folded hands that you want to apologize. Say you have killed people, disappeared, murdered and looted. But don't say such contradictory things that will bring down this government in December.

Stating that I have supported the Yunus government and will continue to do so in the future, he said, but don't try to stay in power for life. Don't think about staying in power for 10-20 years. In the meantime, the prices of goods have increased a lot, discipline has not returned among the police force and other forces. Those who were Sheikh Hasina's vassals are still sitting in their respective places. Removing them quickly is an important task of the current government.

Dhaka: The Ameer of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh (Charmonai), Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, has commented that those who have sucked the blood of the common people of Bangladesh in the 53 years of independence will not be allowed to sit in power.

He made this comment as the chief guest at a rally organized by the Islamic Workers’ Movement Bangladesh at the north gate of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram after Friday (November 8) prayers. The rally was organized to demand justice for the genocide organized in the mass revolution of students, workers and the public against discrimination, control the rise in the prices of daily necessities and implement the rights of working people by establishing Islamic labor policies.

Those who have been sitting on the throne of Bangladesh and sucking the blood of the common people in the 53 years of independence will not be allowed to sit in the seat of power.
