Media people do not see many works of the interim government: Mirza Fakhrul
Noting that the interim government has done a lot of work in three months, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, the interim government has done a lot of work in this. But many in the media do not see any success.
He said this in his speech as the chief guest at the Bangladesh Youth Parliament-2024 organized at the Supreme Court building on Saturday (November 9) afternoon.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, this government must be given time. We have given them responsibility. Many in the media do not see any success. They have done a lot of work in these three months. They have formed many commissions for reforms, arrested several accomplices of fascism, everything is not possible at once. I request the youth, please be patient.
He said, we believe that the leadership under whom this government was formed, since students are also among them, will be able to reach that place. We have to remember one thing, if the opportunity that has been created this time is lost, our existence as a nation will be in danger. I want to emphasize this.
Stating that fascists have started to rise due to various negative talks, the BNP Secretary General said, unfortunately, some of our media are promoting it. I think it will never bring any benefit to the people. I request those who are running such campaigns, please stop.
Calling on the youth, he said, you have achieved such great success, work so that that success remains united.
He also added that we all have to work together so that we can carry out the work of reforms and elections in a fair manner with patience.
Referring to Mao Tse Tung’s statement, the BNP Secretary General said, "Place the heads of the old on the necks of the young." That is, take the experience and knowledge of those who are old, and build something new with the strength of the young.
