Bangladesh blew up Australia in the last T20
Bangladesh beat Australia in the fifth and final T20. The Tigers won by 60 runs. The visitors were bowled out for 62 in 13.4 overs. This is Australia's lowest score in T20.
Nasum Ahmed used to show left-handed play as soon as he entered the field with the Australian bat. The 26-year-old spinner hit a pair in the beginning. Nasum took the wicket of opener Christian for 3 runs. While Mitchell Marsh fell to lbw trap. The team score of the visitors was only 17 then.
Australia lost two wickets in the slow wicket and tried to turn Australia around with the bat of Captain Matthew Wade. However, the star could not make more than 22 runs in the opener. Later, Ben McDermott tried to handle the batting disaster but failed. He was caught and bowled by Mahmudullah Riyadh and made his way to the pavillion.
After McDermott's departure, the visiting Aussie batting line-up seemed to collapse like a house of cards. None of the next batsmen could score more than 4 runs as the Tigers bowlers were able to handle the cannon. As a result, Australia were bowled out for 62 in 13.4 overs. Matthew Wade's team also made a shameful record. That is their lowest score in T20 so far.
Shakib Al Hasan took 4 wickets alone by showing spin magic with the ball. The world's best all-rounder (102) became the first cricketer to cross the 100-wicket milestone with 1,000 runs in T20. Mohammad Saifuddin took three wickets and Nasum Ahmed took two wickets.
Bangladesh threw a target of 123 runs in front of Australia to win the fifth and final T20. The Tigers averaged 122 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted overs.
In the last match, Bangladesh brought change in the opening pair. Mehedi Hasan joined Mohammad Naeem Sheikh in the opening innings instead of Soumya Sarkar. The representatives of red and green also get the benefit of this change.
This pair, however, did not grow very large. Mehedi Hasan returned with a personal 13 runs. The partnership of the two was broken in 42 runs. Later Mohammad Naeem Sheikh took leave with 23 runs. However, this is the biggest pairing of Bangladesh in the five-match T20 series against Australia.
After breaking the opening pair, Bangladesh returned to its old look. The procession of batsmen started coming and going. Shakib Al Hasan 11, Soumya Sarkar 18 and Mahmudullah Riyad 19 runs added to the team score.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat in the fifth and final Twenty20 match of the series against Australia at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
There were two changes in the Bangladesh XI. Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin took place in the team. There were also two changes in the Australian team. Nathan Ellis and Adam Jampa return to the XI. Andrew Tye and Mitchell Swapson were dropped from the team.
Bangladesh has already won the series by winning the first three T20s. Ausies later won the fourth T20. The Tigers won the five-match T20 series 4-1.
