Al Amin gives gold win credit to all

Al Amin, who won gold in karate of the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal, the second gold medal for Bangladesh during the event, has given credit to all in the country.

In his instant reaction after the success on Tuesday (Dec 3), he said, “I’m very proud as Bangladesh has won the second gold through me. I have been able to do something for the country.”

Al Amin said he wants to make all efforts to raise the national flag of Bangladesh and to see the country above any other countries in the game.

He dedicated the medal to his parents, teachers, coaches and Bangladesh Karate Federation saying, “They all made efforts for my success. I’ve won the gold medal because of their combined efforts.”

Bangladesh won its first gold medal in taekwondo on Monday when Dipu Chakma clinched gold in the 29+ age category in poomsae event.

Marzan Akter Priya bagged second gold of the day in women's -55kg kumite event beating Pakistani karateist Kouser Sana by 4-3 points in the final.
