Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi greets Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

The information was given by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Sunday (June 20).

In his congratulatory message, the Prime Minister of India said, "Yoga Day is being celebrated in Bangladesh every year. A large number of people have taken part in the Yoga Day program at the Bangabandhu National Stadium for several years. I am sure your (Sheikh Hasina) government will continue to support the celebration of this day. I wish you, your family and your people good health. '

Modi added, "In 2014, the United Nations recognized June 21 as International Yoga Day. This year, Yoga Day will be celebrated for the seventh time worldwide. But like last year, the day has come at the time of the pandemic. '

The Prime Minister of India said that positive progress has been made against the pandemic since the International Yoga Day last year.

Narendra Modi said, ‘Yoga keeps our mind and body well. Corona can infect any person. However, yoga helps prevent disease by increasing immunity in the body.

Mentionable, the International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June every year. The theme of this year's Yoga Day is 'Yoga for Wellness'.
