Police arrested 51 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Sunday (July 18).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Saturday to Sunday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 16,172 pieces of yaba, 251 gram heroine and 5.875 Kg hemp, 105 bottles phensedyl and nine injection were seized from their possessions.
Thirty five cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
