The National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 has suggested conducting mobile courts to implement the government's special program to control Covid-19 including Omicron type. A total of 4 suggestions were given in the 50th meeting of the committee.

The meeting, chaired by Professor Mohammad Sahidullah, chairman of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19, was held on Friday (January 7). In our country too, the infection is on the rise, meeting fears of an increase in infection again.

The government has already announced various programs to control the infection, the meeting said. The National Technical Advisory Committee has emphasized on the implementation of the program. If necessary, the committee recommends legal measures such as to conduct mobile courts to ensure implementation of the program. All sorts of steps have to be taken to ensure 100% proper wearing of mask, keep hands clean and ensure social distance. Arrange for hand washing again at different places.

In order to ensure social distance, all social (wedding ceremonies, fairs, etc.), religious (waz mahfil) and political gatherings should be stopped at this time.

Meetings or workshops need to be arranged online. The Advisory Committee emphasizes on ensuring hygiene in educational institutions and regular monitoring of infections in their respective educational institutions.

It was said in the meeting that everyone including students should be brought under the vaccine quickly.

It also recommended intensifying screening, quarantine and isolation at all points of entry. The committee also recommended hospital preparations, especially adequate general and ICU beds and adequate oxygen supply to deal with the spread of the infection.
