The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged all to be vigilant about the registration activities of the Holy Hajj. The call has been made through a notification from the Hajj-1 branch of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
It is said that at present, pre-registration activities are being carried out under the management of both public and private persons for Hajj pilgrims. But due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the registration process has not started yet. However, some unscrupulous people are taking advantage of the situation by giving false promises of sending religious-minded Muslims to Hajj.
In order to be wary of such fraudsters in the notification, it has been requested to inform the nearest police station including the Ministry of Religious Affairs (mobile number - 01720209599) if any person calls or offers for such a transaction.
The notification further said that once the Hajj activities start, the matter will be informed to the public from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in a timely manner.
To go for Hajj, pre-registration has to be done. Registered people take part in Hajj subject to public-private quota. The registration is part of the Saudi government's digital Hajj management. Due to the corona, other than the citizens living in Saudi Arabia could not go for Hajj for two seasons.
