Dhaka: Rain is expected in different parts of the country on Friday and Saturday, the meteorological office said. The meteorological office also said that moderate to heavy fog could fall in the river basins in the south.
The meteorological department said light to moderate showers with temporary gusts are likely in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and some parts of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. There may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.
Meteorologist Abdul Hamid said it could rain all over the country on Friday and Saturday. However, after these two days, the effect of rain in the north will decrease. There may still be a hint of light rain in the south. Rain will reduce the day's temperature a little more.
According to the temperature forecast, daytime temperatures could drop by two to three degrees Celsius while night time temperatures remain almost unchanged across the country.
The country's minimum temperature was recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius in Tentulia yesterday. Among the divisional cities, the minimum temperature in Dhaka was 17.2 degrees Celsius, Mymensingh 14.6 degrees Celsius, Chittagong 15.5 degrees Celsius, Sylhet 15.4 degrees Celsius, Rajshahi 13.5 degrees Celsius, Rangpur 12.8 degrees Celsius, Khulna 18.5 degrees Celsius and Barisal 17.9 degrees Celsius.
The forecast also said that the increase in light pressure is in the North Bay area. The normal light pressure of the season is located in the South Bay.
