The Ministry of Land has issued a circular instructing the service recipients to give notice of the lack of information and documents before finalizing the rejection of the application.
In order to alleviate the suffering of the citizens and to ensure transparency and accountability of the land office, the Ministry of Lands has issued this instruction in a circular entitled Non-Approval Application without Order after submission of fee for e-Namjari Application. As a result, the land service recipient will get a chance to submit the deficit documents once the Namajari application is rejected.
According to the circular of November 2, 2021 bearing circular number 560, the Ministry of Land has instructed to pay Tk. 20 / - (twenty) for court fee and Tk. 50/- after payment for issuing notification, the applicant's application is listed in the ID of the Assistant Commissioner (Land). Many applications were rejected by the Assistant Commissioner (Land) before the 1st Order. In that case, the citizen cannot know the reason why the application has not been granted. This is an obstacle to the transparency and accountability of the land office.
The circular further said that in this case, the suffering of the citizens would be alleviated and in order to ensure transparency and accountability of the land office, the Namjari could not be canceled before the 1st order of the Assistant Commissioner (Land). If there is any deficiency of information or documents in the application, the time limit for submission of information and documents should be given by mentioning it in the 1st order. If the applicant fails to submit the information or documents within the stipulated time or if it is not granted due to any other reason, the 2nd order specifically gives the instruction to disallow, stating the reasons.
