Dhaka: Due to the increasing incidence of coronavirus in the country, the Directorate of Prisons has imposed restrictions on the supply of food from outside the prisons. In addition, the newly arrived prisoners have been instructed to be kept in quarantine for 14 days.

Recently, Additional Inspector General of Prisons Colonel Abrar Hossain issued an order in this regard.

The order said that all kinds of food would be stopped from outside for the prisoners. If any of their relatives bring food, they have to politely explain and refuse. Sick inmates should be kept under observation for at least 14 days. The distance from one prisoner to the other will be at least one meter or three feet or two meters or six feet if possible.

Prisoners who have recently arrived in the prison cannot be taken out of the quarantine and taken to an open place until 14 days have elapsed.
