On the second day of the visit, the two congressmen will meet with the Rohingya Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commission (RRRC) and related organizations of the United Nations in Cox's Bazar on Sunday (August 13). Then they will come to Dhaka to have a meeting with foreign minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen.

Richard Nephew, coordinator of the global anti-corruption division of the US State Department, visited Dhaka on the night of August 6.

Regarding the visit of two US congressmen foreign minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen told reporters that they are coming to see whether the money given by the United States for the Rohingyas is being used properly or not. The United States is one of the largest donors of Rohingya funding. And these two congressmen are on these funding committees. So, they will see how their money is being used.

Apart from this, the foreign minister said in an event in Sylhet on Friday, "We have now fallen into the global diplomatic tangle." Rich countries cannot afford China's development. Due to its geographical location and development, Bangladesh is also gaining more importance to foreigners. A party and their expatriate associates are spreading misinformation about Bangladesh to foreigners.
