In the last 24 hours, 14 people have died due to dengue throughout the country. With this, the number of people who have died due to dengue this year has reached 804. At the same time, 2 thousand 598 people were newly admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among the dead, five were in Dhaka and 9 were under treatment outside Dhaka. And among the new dengue patients, 881 people are from Dhaka and 1 thousand 717 people are outside Dhaka city.
This information was disclosed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate of Health on Friday (September 15).
According to the directorate, there are currently 10,330 patients admitted in various public and private hospitals across the country. Among them, 4 thousand 208 people are in Dhaka, and the remaining 6 thousand 122 people are in other divisions outside Dhaka.
Since January 1 of this year, 1 lakh 64 thousand 562 patients have been admitted and 1 lakh 53 thousand 428 have been discharged.
