Financial outlets will remain close for three days

At the backdrop of ongoing lockdown announced to prevent coronavirus infection, Bangladesh Bank has directed the financial institutions to continue their activities in compliance with the limited health regulations.

The central bank on Wednesday (July 7) issued a circular to the managing directors and chief executive officers of all financial institutions.

It said financial institutions would be open from 10am to 3pm on Thursday (July 8) to provide emergency financial services to customers. Financial institutions will also be closed on Sundays with weekly holidays on Fridays and Saturdays during the restrictions. As such, financial institutions will be open four days a week.
