Formation of committee regarding increase in age of entry into government service

The senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr. Md. Moklesur Rahman has said that a committee has been formed to raise the age limit for entering government jobs.

He said that the committee has been asked to give advice within the next 7 working days regarding increasing the age limit for entry into the service.

He said that this committee has been formed in view of the movement and demands regarding the age of entry into government service to 35.

Meanwhile, the agitating students took position at half past one in the afternoon in front of the interim government's Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Md. Yunus' residence Jamuna when the police attacked them.

It has been seen on the ground that sufficient police and army personnel have been stationed around the protesting students.

The students said that they will not leave their positions until the age limit of 35 is notified. Their demands must be accepted by today.
